Szczyrk
Szczyrk is a tourist town in Beskid Śląski situated in a narrow of Żylica river. Surrounded by beautiful wooded mountains Klimczok and Skrzyczne – Szczyrk has excellent conditions to secure all visitors a nice stay and rest in winter as well as in summer.
There are 30 leaders and dish lifts, two-stretch chair – lift at Skrzyczne, 60 km of run routes of different level of difficulty, 10 km routes artificially covered with snow and illuminated. Four routes have the FIS licence.
In summer mountain touristic and biking routes are unquestionable attraction. Those who loving paraglading may find in Szczyrk good starting place from Skrzyczne.
There are a lot of interesting places and monuments in Szczyrk. There are wooden church of St. James built in last year of XVIII c. Between Malonowska Skala peak and Malinów peak there is Malinowska Cave – a monumets of nature. Szczyrk is the centre of folk traditional, folklore and art.
